Thai QA Lead for AI Training Projects, Remote
Overview
In this hourly remote contract, you’ll steer Thai language quality assurance across AI training initiatives, aligning outcomes among trainers and QA partners. You’ll review AI-generated Thai content against clear rubrics and deliver precise, written feedback to guide editors and contributors. You will create and maintain Thai-focused style guides and onboarding materials to support scalable QA workflows. Strong Thai and English skills empower you to coach a distributed team, clarify guidelines, and ensure culturally accurate output.
What You'll Do8
- 1Spot-check Thai outputs, flag quality issues, and deliver written feedback via DMs, escalating recurring problems.
- 2Communicate project updates and quality expectations to trainers and QAs on Discord.
- 3Answer questions about Thai wording, tone, politeness, formatting, and translation fidelity with clear guidance.
- 4Activate or re-engage contributors by direct messaging, tracking follow-ups, and flagging availability gaps.
- 5Develop and maintain Thai project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding calls with trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, rubrics, and Thai-specific style requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Thai guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Thai-language projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Thai, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 2Native or near-native Thai proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong command of English to follow guidelines and provide feedback.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Thai writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Deep understanding of Thai grammar, spelling conventions, tone, register, politeness markers, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Thai content against detailed rubrics and identify mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect register, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Comfort with Thai-specific formatting and style issues, including word spacing, loanwords, honorifics, and audience-appropriate phrasing.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
- 9Familiarity with tools such as Discord, Google Docs, and Google Sheets for collaboration and tracking.
- 10Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLMs, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus.
