Korean QA Lead for AI Training Data (Remote)
Overview
Take the lead on quality for Korean AI training data projects as a remote contractor. You will review AI-generated Korean content and trainer outputs, assessing accuracy, fluency, and cultural nuance against detailed rubrics with precise written feedback. You’ll maintain style guides and onboarding materials to keep contributors aligned as guidelines evolve. Fluent in Korean and English, you coordinate feedback through remote channels like Discord to sustain high-quality results.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform ongoing quality checks on Korean content and flag issues, delivering written feedback to trainers and QAs via direct messages.
- 2Update trainers and QAs on new guidelines and project changes through Discord announcements.
- 3Respond promptly to questions about Korean wording, honorifics, speech levels, and translation fidelity.
- 4DM inactive contributors to re-engage them; track follow-ups and escalate availability issues when needed.
- 5Create and maintain Korean project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding sessions with trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, rubrics, quality standards, and Korean-style requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Korean language guidelines across all contributors as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA workflows for Korean-language projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Korean, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Korean with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow project guidelines and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of experience in Korean writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Deep understanding of Korean grammar, spelling, punctuation, honorifics, speech levels, tone, register, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Korean content against detailed rubrics and identify issues like mistranslation, awkward phrasing, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Comfort with formal vs informal Korean and localization terminology for South Korean users.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
- 9Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
- 10Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM prompts, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus.
