English QA Lead for AI Training Data Projects
Overview
As a remote, hourly English QA Lead, you oversee quality across AI training projects, reviewing ai training data content and coaching a distributed team of trainers and QAs. You assess accuracy, clarity, tone, and instruction compliance against project rubrics, delivering precise, written feedback that guides improvements. You’ll maintain style guides and onboarding materials, and keep guidelines current for a fast-moving remote team via Discord and collaboration tools. This role partners with SME Careers and the SuperAnnotate ecosystem to elevate quality for leading AI models.
What You'll Do8
- 1Spot-check submissions to surface quality issues and provide targeted feedback through direct messages.
- 2Keep trainers and QAs aligned by sharing new item guidelines, workflow changes, and quality expectations on Discord.
- 3Answer questions from contributors promptly, clarifying instructions and edge cases in writing.
- 4Reach out to inactive contributors to re-engage them and track follow-ups across time zones.
- 5Create and maintain project documentation including style guides, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding sessions to walk through rubrics, workflows, and project standards.
- 7Ensure consistent application of guidelines across trainers and QAs as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA process improvements.
Requirements8
- 1bachelor’s or master’s degree in english, linguistics, communications, journalism, education, ai/data annotation, quality assurance, or a related field.
- 2strong command of english grammar, clarity, tone, and the quality of written feedback.
- 33+ years in quality assurance, editing, content review, ai training, annotation, localization qa, or related workflows.
- 4experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or qas is strongly preferred.
- 5excellent written and verbal communication; ability to answer contributor questions and share project updates clearly.
- 6comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, google docs, google sheets, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
- 7reliable, self-directed, and able to manage contributor activation, follow-ups, escalations across time zones.
- 8experience with ai training, data annotation, llm prompts evaluation, or rubric-based qa is a strong plus.
Who Should Apply

Salary Insight
