Tagalog QA Lead for AI Training Projects (Remote)
Overview
As a remote, hourly contractor, you will steer quality across Filipino/Tagalog AI training projects, guiding remote trainers and QA reviewers. You will review AI-generated content and trainer outputs against project guidelines, delivering precise written feedback to maintain consistency and cultural accuracy. You will document processes and standards, update style guides and training materials, and help onboarding new contributors. A strong communicator will connect with teams on Discord and keep records in Google Docs and Google Sheets as projects evolve.
What You'll Do8
- 1Spot-check Filipino/Tagalog AI training items for accuracy, tone, and rubric alignment, documenting issues and guiding improvement.
- 2Communicate new item guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations to trainers and QAs via Discord messages.
- 3Answer questions about Filipino/Tagalog wording, tone, Taglish usage, and cultural context with clear, English-language explanations.
- 4DM inactive contributors to re-engage them, track follow-ups, and surface availability concerns.
- 5Create and maintain Filipino/Tagalog project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding calls and training sessions to explain expectations, rubrics, and language requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Filipino/Tagalog guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA workflows for Filipino/Tagalog-language projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Filipino/Tagalog, linguistics, translation, communications, English, education, quality assurance, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Filipino/Tagalog proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English language proficiency to follow guidelines and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Filipino/Tagalog writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language workflows.
- 5Solid grasp of Filipino/Tagalog grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, cultural context.
- 6Comfort with formal Filipino, conversational Tagalog, and Taglish/code-switching per guidelines while keeping style consistent.
- 7Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, unnatural tone, or inconsistent terminology.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is preferred.
- 9Familiarity with Discord, Google Docs, Google Sheets, trackers, dashboards, and project-management tools.
- 10Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills; experience creating style guides, onboarding materials, FAQs, and quality trackers.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM QA, or prompt/response evaluation is a strong plus.

Salary Insight
