As a Slovenian QA Lead, you oversee quality and consistency across Slovenian AI training data projects on a remote contract basis. You review AI-generated Slovenian content and the work of trainers and QAs, comparing output against detailed rubrics and delivering precise written feedback. You maintain documentation such as style guides and onboarding materials, ensuring contributors follow evolving quality standards. Communication flows through Discord for updates and Google Docs for documentation, with trackers in Google Sheets to keep quality metrics visible.
What You'll Do9
- 1Spot-check Slovenian outputs for quality and identify issues; provide targeted feedback via DMs and escalate recurring problems.
- 2Coordinate Discord updates with Trainers and QAs about new guidelines and workflow changes.
- 3Answer questions on Slovenian wording, grammar, diacritics, and terminology with clear guidance.
- 4DM inactive contributors to re-engage them, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues in Google Sheets.
- 5Create and maintain Slovenian project documentation, including style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding materials.
- 6Schedule and run onboarding calls with trainers and QAs to explain expectations, workflows, rubrics, and Slovenian-specific style requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Slovenian language guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA process improvements for Slovenian-language projects.
- 9Support or lead remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs to align QA workflows.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's or Master's in Slovenian, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, QA, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Slovenian with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English to follow project guidelines and provide feedback.
- 43+ years of professional Slovenian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language workflows.
- 5Deep knowledge of Slovenian grammar, diacritics, declension, gender and number agreement, tone, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Slovenian content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, awkward phrasing, missing diacritics, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
- 8Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, Google Docs, Google Sheets, trackers, dashboards, and PM tools.
- 9Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain style guides, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus.

Salary Insight
