Russian AI Training QA Lead - Remote Contract Role
Overview
As a remote hourly contractor, you lead quality for Russian AI training initiatives, aligning outputs with client rubrics. You review AI-generated Russian content and evaluate trainer work against detailed rubrics, delivering precise written feedback on tone, grammar, and cultural context, including llm evaluation. You build and maintain Russian project documentation, including style guides and onboarding materials, to scale quality across a distributed team. Collaboration occurs on Discord and other remote tools to share updates and keep teams aligned on guidelines.
What You'll Do8
- 1Perform ongoing quality checks on Russian items, identify issues, and deliver clear feedback through direct messages.
- 2Communicate new item guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations to trainers and QAs on Discord.
- 3Answer questions about Russian wording, grammar, tone, cultural context, terminology, and edge cases with precise guidance.
- 4Activate inactive contributors, monitor follow-ups, and flag availability issues to keep momentum.
- 5Create and maintain Russian project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding and training calls with trainers and QAs to explain expectations, rubrics, and language requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Russian language guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA improvements for Russian-language projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Russian, linguistics, translation, communications, English, education, quality assurance, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Russian with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow project guidelines and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Russian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Deep knowledge of Russian grammar, spelling, punctuation, declension, aspect, gender agreement, tone, register, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to adapt Russian for formal, neutral, and conversational registers while maintaining terminology across domains.
- 7Ability to evaluate Russian content against rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, awkward phrasing, or inconsistent terminology.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is strongly preferred.
- 9Comfortable working remotely with Discord, Google Docs, Google Sheets, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
- 10Highly organized with strong documentation skills and the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus.
