Estonian QA Lead for AI Training Remote Contract
Overview
This remote, hourly contractor role oversees quality and consistency across Estonian AI training projects. You review AI-generated Estonian content and trainer/QA output against project guidelines, delivering precise written feedback. You also help maintain style guides and onboarding materials to support quality documentation. You drive onboarding for new contributors and help build scalable QA workflows for Estonian-language projects.
What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor Estonian items for quality, provide ongoing feedback via DMs, and escalate recurring or critical issues
- 2Coordinate with trainers and QAs on Discord about new item guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations
- 3Respond to trainer and QA questions clearly and promptly on Estonian wording, grammar, case endings, compounds, terminology, and cultural context
- 4Manage activation of contributors who are inactive, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues when needed
- 5Create and maintain Estonian project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials
- 6Schedule and lead onboarding calls with trainers and QAs to discuss project expectations, rubrics, quality standards, and Estonian-specific style requirements
- 7Ensure consistent application of Estonian language guidelines across projects and align with evolving guidelines
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose workflow improvements to scale QA for Estonian-language projects
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Estonian, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, english, education, quality assurance, or related field
- 2Native or near-native Estonian with strong reading and writing skills
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow project guidelines and provide feedback in English
- 43+ years of professional experience in Estonian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related workflows
- 5Deep understanding of Estonian grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, case endings, compounds, word order, tone, register, and cultural context
- 6Ability to evaluate Estonian content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, unnatural tone, missing diacritics, or inconsistent terminology
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred
- 8Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments with tools like Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems
- 9Detail-oriented and organized; capable of maintaining style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, honeypots, and quality documentation
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus
