What You'll Do9
- 1Spot-check AI-generated political science outputs and trainer work, flag quality issues, and document findings in project trackers.
- 2Evaluate explanations and policy summaries for accuracy, balance, and proper institutional descriptions against rubrics and guidelines.
- 3Communicate guidelines, workflow changes, and quality expectations to Discord-based trainer and QA teams, ensuring consistency across contributors.
- 4Respond to questions from trainers and QAs with clarity on institutions, comparative politics, public policy, and bias considerations.
- 5Proactively identify inactive contributors, drive activation follow-ups, and escalate availability issues to project managers.
- 6Create and maintain comprehensive political science project documentation, including style guides, FAQs, and calibration tasks for ongoing training projects.
- 7Coordinate onboarding and training sessions to align trainers and QAs with project expectations and review requirements.
- 8Monitor bias risks and flag ideologically skewed or poorly contextualized content for remediation.
- 9Suggest improvements to QA processes to scale political science AI training across multiple projects.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in political science, international relations, public policy, government, political theory, security studies, law, sociology, economics, or related field
- 2Strong written and spoken English to follow guidelines and provide clear feedback
- 33+ years in political science research, policy analysis, academic review, or related analytical work
- 4Deep understanding of political institutions, comparative politics, international relations, public policy, electoral systems, governance, and political behavior
- 5Experience evaluating content against rubrics and identifying bias, incorrect descriptions, or weak analysis
- 6Familiarity with democracy vs. authoritarianism, political economy, public administration, constitutional systems, and survey research preferred
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote analytical teams, annotators, or QAs is highly preferred
- 8Comfort with remote collaboration tools like Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and PM systems
- 9Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation skills and ability to maintain style guides and onboarding materials
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, policy QA, or rubric-based review is a strong plus
