Overview
This remote, hourly contract places you as a Legal QA Lead overseeing quality across AI training programs for legal content. You’ll review AI-generated legal explanations, contract reviews, and compliance guidance, checking accuracy against project rubrics and flagging issues like unsupported citations or jurisdictional gaps. Deliver precise feedback and guide trainers and QAs via Discord, while maintaining up-to-date style guides, FAQs, and calibration tasks. You’ll help onboard contributors, document processes, and ensure outputs are well-reasoned, cautious, and aligned with client expectations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Monitor QA quality across legal AI training items and provide ongoing feedback to trainers and QAs; escalate recurring issues.
- 2Evaluate AI-generated legal explanations, contract analyses, policy interpretations, and case summaries for accuracy and appropriate caution against rubrics.
- 3Communicate project updates and quality expectations to trainers and QAs on Discord; share new guidelines and workflow changes.
- 4Respond to questions about legal reasoning, jurisdiction, citations, source quality, and rubric application with clear, actionable guidance.
- 5Activate and track follow-ups for contributors who are inactive; flag availability issues to maintain momentum.
- 6Create and maintain project documentation including style guides, trackers, FAQs, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
- 7Lead onboarding sessions with trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, rubrics, and legal review requirements.
- 8Ensure consistent application of legal-review guidelines as projects evolve and scale.
- 9Flag outputs that are unsafe, misleading, or jurisdictionally inappropriate; manage risk through review standards.
- 10Identify recurring quality gaps and propose workflow improvements to support scalable QA processes.
Requirements10
- 1bachelor’s degree or professional law degree (jd, llb, llm) or equivalent in law, compliance, or related field
- 2strong English proficiency to follow guidelines and provide clear feedback in English
- 33+ years of professional experience in legal practice, research, contract review, compliance, regulatory analysis, or related workflows
- 4solid understanding of core legal concepts including legal reasoning, issue spotting, contract interpretation, and statutory interpretation
- 5ability to assess legal content against rubrics and identify issues such as unsupported conclusions, mis-cited sources, or jurisdictional mismatches
- 6familiarity with common legal workflows or tools like contract review, legal memoranda, case summaries, regulatory guidance, and policy analysis
- 7experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, lawyers, paralegals, or QAs
- 8comfort with a fast-moving remote environment using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools
- 9high attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and calibration tasks
- 10experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt evaluation, legal content QA, or rubric-based LLM evaluation is a strong plus
