What You'll Do10

  • 1Spot quality issues in sociology items during checks and provide precise feedback via direct messages.
  • 2Evaluate AI-generated sociology explanations, theory applications, research summaries, and demographic interpretations for accuracy and nuance against project rubrics.
  • 3Share updates on guidelines and project changes with trainers and QAs on Discord and project trackers.
  • 4Answer questions about sociological concepts, research methods, inequality, ethics, bias, and rubric interpretation with clear, concise replies.
  • 5Activate inactive contributors by direct messaging, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues.
  • 6Create and maintain sociology project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
  • 7Plan and run onboarding calls to set expectations, workflows, rubrics, and sociology-specific review requirements.
  • 8Ensure consistent application of sociology review guidelines as projects evolve.
  • 9Flag stereotyping, biased language, unsupported group claims, weak causal reasoning, or ethically problematic analyses.
  • 10Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA processes for sociology AI training projects.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in sociology or related field.
  • 2Strong command of English for guidelines, collaboration, and feedback.
  • 33+ years in sociology research, teaching, social policy analysis, or related workflows.
  • 4Deep understanding of sociological theory, institutions, inequality, stratification, race/ethnicity, gender, class, culture, deviance, organizations, social change, demography, and research methods.
  • 5Ability to evaluate content against rubrics and identify issues such as unsupported generalizations, stereotyping, or weak causal claims.
  • 6Familiarity with surveys, interviews, ethnography, statistical analysis, social policy, urban sociology, family sociology, or criminology is preferred.
  • 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of researchers, educators, analysts, reviewers, or QAs.
  • 8Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments using tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
  • 9Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, calibration tasks, and documentation.
  • 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or rubric-based review is a strong plus.
