What You'll Do8

- 5Creates and sustains Icelandic project documentation, including style guides, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding materials.
- 6Leads onboarding and training sessions with trainers and QAs to explain workflows, rubrics, and language requirements.
- 7Ensures consistent application of Icelandic language guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Identifies recurring quality gaps and proposes scalable QA process improvements for Icelandic-language work.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Icelandic, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 2Native or near-native Icelandic with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow project guidelines and provide feedback.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Icelandic writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Solid understanding of Icelandic grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, declensions, case agreement, word formation, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Icelandic content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, awkward phrasing, calques, or terminology inconsistencies.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, editors, or QAs.
- 8Comfortable using Discord, Google Docs, Google Sheets, trackers, and project-management tools.
- 9Highly detail-oriented and organized; capable of maintaining style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM QA, or rubric-based evaluation is a strong plus.
