Norwegian QA Lead for AI Training Content Review (Remote)
Overview
Remote contract role guiding Norwegian QA across AI training projects. You’ll review Norwegian content and the work of trainers and QAs, measuring output against project guidelines and delivering precise written feedback. Maintain style guides and documentation to preserve tone for Bokmål and Nynorsk. Coordinate quality workflows with remote contributors via Discord, while keeping guidelines and reports in Google Docs and Google Sheets.
What You'll Do8
- 1Spot-check Norwegian items for quality issues, provide ongoing feedback via direct messages, and escalate recurring or critical problems.
- 2Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new guidelines, project changes, workflow updates, and quality expectations.
- 3Answer trainer and QA questions clearly and promptly on Norwegian wording, tone, Bokmål vs Nynorsk usage, cultural context, and edge cases.
- 4DM inactive contributors to encourage activation, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues when needed.
- 5Create and maintain Norwegian project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
- 6Schedule and run onboarding and training calls with trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, rubrics, quality standards, and Norwegian-specific style requirements.
- 7Ensure trainers and QAs apply Norwegian language guidelines consistently and understand updates as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes for Norwegian-language projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Norwegian, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 2Native or near-native Norwegian with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow guidelines, communicate with teams, and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Norwegian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Solid understanding of Norwegian grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, business writing norms, and cultural context.
- 6Comfort with Bokmål and/or Nynorsk, including spelling standards and terminology differences; specify which standards you can support.
- 7Ability to evaluate Norwegian content against detailed rubrics and identify issues like mistranslation, unnatural tone, or inconsistent terminology.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is highly preferred.
- 9Proficiency with remote collaboration tools such as Discord, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, plus trackers and dashboards.
- 10Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, or rubric-based LLM QA is a plus.
