Overview
SME Careers seeks a Hindi Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across AI training data initiatives in Hindi. You will assess AI-generated Hindi content and trainer outputs, measuring quality against project rubrics to deliver precise written feedback. You will identify recurring quality issues and guide documentation, onboarding, and guideline updates. This is a remote, hourly contractor role that ensures Hindi content is natural, accurate, and culturally aligned with client expectations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Spot-check Hindi content and trainer outputs, flag quality gaps, and deliver targeted feedback via direct messages; escalate systemic issues for remediation.
- 2Post updates on Discord for guidelines, project tweaks, workflow changes, and quality expectations to keep the team aligned.
- 3Answer questions on Hindi grammar, Devanagari script, register, translation fidelity, Hinglish usage, terminology, and cultural nuances.
- 4Reach out to inactive contributors, re-engage them, log follow-ups, and flag availability gaps.
- 5Create and maintain Hindi documentation, style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, and onboarding materials to support QA workflows.
- 6Lead onboarding sessions to explain workflows, rubrics, and Hindi-specific requirements to new validators.
- 7Enforce consistent application of Hindi guidelines across all reviews and trainer feedback.
- 8Identify common quality gaps and drive improvements in QA processes and rubrics.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's or master's degree in Hindi, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, English, Journalism, Education, QA, or a related field.
- 2Native or near-native Hindi proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English language skills to follow guidelines, communicate with teams, and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Hindi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Solid understanding of Hindi grammar, Devanagari script, spelling, punctuation, tone, and India-specific cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Hindi content against rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, awkward phrasing, gender/verb agreement errors, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QA is preferred.
- 8Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
- 9Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus.
Who Should Apply
