Overview
As a Bengali QA Lead operating remotely on a contract basis, you oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Bengali AI training projects. You review AI-generated content and trainer QA outputs, measuring results against detailed rubrics and guidelines. You craft precise, written feedback and help maintain style guides and comprehensive documentation. You coordinate with remote trainers and QAs via Discord and adapt workflows as projects evolve.
What You'll Do9
- 1Spot-check Bengali items for quality, identify issues, and provide ongoing feedback to trainers via direct messages.
- 2Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new item guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations.
- 3Answer questions on Bengali wording, tone, and cultural context with clear guidance.
- 4Activate inactive contributors, track follow-ups, and flag availability as needed.
- 5Create and maintain Bengali project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding and training calls to explain workflows, rubrics, and Bengali-specific style requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Bengali language guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Bengali-language projects.
- 9Review AI-generated outputs against rubrics and provide targeted feedback to improve translation quality.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bengali, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Bengali proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English language skills to follow project guidelines and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Bengali writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Solid understanding of Bengali grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Bengali content against rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, literal phrasing, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is preferred.
- 8Comfort working in fast-moving remote environments using tools such as Discord, Google Docs, Google Sheets.
- 9Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain style guides, onboarding materials, trackers, and quality documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus.
