What You'll Do7
- 1Review AI-generated Estonian material for accuracy, fluency, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and tone; provide concise written feedback in English.
- 2Produce high-quality Estonian reference content and exemplar model answers to illustrate preferred phrasing and style.
- 3Develop prompts and gold-standard Estonian responses across domains such as general knowledge, customer support, education, conversational writing, translation, localization, and culturally sensitive content.
- 4Evaluate AI outputs for adherence to prompts, terminology quality, meaning preservation, register consistency, and cultural appropriateness; identify issues and propose fixes.
- 5Identify unsafe or biased content, mistranslations, ambiguity, and culturally insensitive phrasing; document corrections and verification steps.
- 6Contribute to Estonian language guidelines, glossaries, and style notes to support QA workflows.
- 7Provide detailed feedback in English, including clear explanations of corrections and suggested rewrites.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Estonian Language, Estonian Literature, English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2Native or near-native Estonian with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Professional English proficiency at C1 level or higher to follow guidelines and deliver feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
- 5Deep understanding of Estonian grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, cases, vowel harmony, word order, compound words, verb forms, tone and style; able to explain corrections and how to fix them.
- 6Experience handling multiple registers in Estonian (formal, neutral, conversational, professional, educational, and public-facing).
- 7High attention to detail spotting subtle meaning shifts, awkward translations, incorrect case forms, unnatural compounds, or culturally mismatched wording.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Preferred: prior AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, localization QA, or rubric-based evaluation.
