- 8Collaborate with AI data training teams to align outputs with audience and style guidelines.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Finnish/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2Native or near-native Finnish proficiency (reading and writing required).
- 3Strong professional proficiency in English (minimum C1) to follow guidelines and provide detailed feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
- 5Deep understanding of Finnish grammar and style (case system, word order, compounds, punctuation, and register); able to explain why something is wrong and how to fix it.
- 6Comfortable handling multiple registers (formal/informal), “selkokieli” vs standard Finnish, and audience adaptation.
- 7High attention to detail when spotting subtle meaning shifts, awkward translations, hallucinated claims, or culturally mismatched phrasing.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.
