Overview
Take charge as a Telugu QA Lead overseeing quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Telugu AI training projects. You will review AI training content in Telugu and guide both trainers and QAs, delivering precise written feedback aligned with project rubrics. Maintain style guides and onboarding materials while documenting quality notes and examples for future runs. Coordinate with remote teammates through Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs to keep guidelines current and aligned with client expectations. This hourly, remote role directly shapes the accuracy and cultural appropriateness of Telugu data used to train leading AI models.
What You'll Do8
- 1Monitor Telugu content quality across training tasks, flag issues, and deliver written feedback to contributors via direct messages.
- 2Communicate updates to item guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations to trainers and QAs on Discord.
- 3Answer questions from trainers and QAs on Telugu wording, tone, cultural context, and regional usage such as Andhra Pradesh vs Telangana.
- 4Manage activation and follow-ups for inactive contributors, and flag availability issues to keep throughput steady.
- 5Create and maintain Telugu project documentation including style guides, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding sessions with trainers and QAs to explain expectations, rubrics, and Telugu-specific style rules.
- 7Ensure consistency with Telugu language guidelines as projects evolve and adjust training materials accordingly.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA workflows for Telugu-language projects.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telugu, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Telugu with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow guidelines and communicate with teams in English.
- 43+ years of Telugu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Deep understanding of Telugu grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Telugu content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, unnatural tone, ambiguity, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
- 8Comfortable with remote collaboration using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
- 9Highly detail-oriented and organized; able to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus.
