Your work will involve evaluating meaning, mistranslations, and register, and flagging content that may be unsafe or biased.
What You'll Do8
- 1Evaluate Telugu outputs from AI systems for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural alignment; flag issues in meaning, mistranslation, or inappropriate register.
- 2Produce high-quality Telugu rewrites and model answers that illustrate best practices in writing.
- 3Build and refine Telugu reference content and prompts to guide AI training across domains like general knowledge, customer support, and education.
- 4Apply rubric-based evaluation to rank AI outputs, assign quality scores, and provide actionable feedback in English.
- 5Detect unsafe, biased, or factually questionable content and document findings for remediation.
- 6Perform fact-checking on claims and ensure consistency when comparing multiple AI responses.
- 7Collaborate with data science and content teams to align prompts, style guides, and regional language considerations (Andhra Pradesh vs Telangana).
- 8Maintain documentation of style guidelines and regional variations to support ongoing QA.
Requirements9
- 1Native or near-native telugu proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
- 2Professional english proficiency at the C1 level or higher to follow guidelines and provide detailed feedback in English.
- 3Bachelor's degree or higher in linguistics, telugu/english literature, communications, journalism, translation, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 43+ years' experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or other language-focused roles.
- 5Deep understanding of Telugu grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style; ability to explain errors and fixes.
- 6Comfort with multiple registers and regional variations (Andhra Pradesh vs Telangana) and audience adaptation.
- 7High attention to detail to spot subtle meaning shifts, awkward translations, or culturally mismatched phrasing.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote contractor setting across time zones.
- 9Prior experience with AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is highly preferred.
