Overview

SuperAnnotate's data services arm needs a Telugu quality lead to hold AI training projects to a consistent standard across a remote contributor pool. You will review Telugu items that trainers and QAs produce, judge them against project rubrics, and write feedback that helps people correct their work. Much of the day runs through Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs, where you post guideline updates, track follow-ups, and answer questions about wording, register, and regional usage. Your read on Telugu grammar and cultural context decides whether training data meets the bar that foundation-model clients expect.

What You'll Do9

  • Spot-check Telugu items on live projects and flag problems in accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, or formatting.
  • Send written feedback to trainers and QAs through direct messages, with concrete examples that show what to change.
  • Escalate critical or repeated issues to project leads before they spread across a batch.
  • Post guideline changes, workflow updates, and quality reminders to project channels on Discord.
  • Answer questions about Telugu wording, register, translation fidelity, Andhra Pradesh versus Telangana usage, and tricky edge cases.
  • Message inactive contributors, track who responds, and flag availability gaps to the team.
  • Build and maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, honeypots, and onboarding materials for Telugu projects.
  • Run onboarding and training calls that walk trainers and QAs through rubrics, workflows, and Telugu-specific style rules.
  • Study recurring quality gaps and propose workflow changes that keep the QA process scalable.

Requirements8

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telugu, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Native or near-native Telugu with strong reading and writing skills.
  • Solid English skills for reading guidelines, writing feedback, and working with distributed teams.
  • 3+ years of professional work in Telugu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or similar review workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of Telugu grammar, spelling, punctuation, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
  • Ability to judge content against detailed rubrics and name the exact flaw: mistranslation, literal phrasing, awkward tone, invented claims, ambiguity, or inconsistent terminology.
  • Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools in a remote setting.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the discipline to keep style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding docs current.

Preferred Qualifications2

  • Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
  • Background in AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt and response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA.

Who Should Apply

Telugu language specialists with three or more years of editing, translation, localization, or annotation work and a sharp eye for rubric detail fit this contract well. The role suits someone who enjoys coaching remote contributors and turning fuzzy quality problems into clear written guidance.

Salary Insight

The posted range is $15.00 to $25.00 per hour. Language QA contractors with three or more years of review work and team leadership duties usually sit toward the upper half of that band.
