Strategic Project Lead, Law (J.D.) | $80-$90/hr Remote
Overview
This role is a Strategic Project Lead focusing on the legal domain, managing teams of domain experts to train frontier AI models for top AI labs. The lead ensures high standards in data integrity, scalability, and quality while overseeing the design and execution of workflows. They act as the main point of contact for customers and report directly to the CEO and Head of Human Data.
What You'll Do6
- 1Own projects end to end, ensuring top AI Lab clients are extremely happy.
- 2Own and manage complex, domain-specific data pipelines, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- 3Manage teams of Human Data Managers and Leads reviewing the work of subject-matter experts in Legal.
- 4Communicate directly with top AI Labs on massive, high-impact projects.
- 5Work with Human Data Engineers to define, track, and optimize KPIs across expert-driven workflows.
- 6Provide executive-level insights and updates on key projects, data performance, and operational impact.

- 1Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
- 2Exceptional soft skills and stakeholder management ability, especially with senior legal experts.
- 3Willingness to grind long hours, including weekends, in a fast-moving startup environment.
- 4Strong startup and entrepreneurial mindset.
- 52+ years in a leadership role driving operational processes, managing large-scale or domain-heavy data projects, or optimizing complex workflows.

Salary Insight
The national pay range for this full-time position is a base salary of $180,000 – $230,000 USD. Employees are eligible for equity compensation, performance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, and a 401(K) plan with company match.
