This role is the primary link between top AI research labs and a team of finance domain experts working to train cutting-edge models. You'll own the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, finance-focused data projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and client satisfaction. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you'll blend deep operational insight with hands-on team management to drive impactful results in a fast-moving startup environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Take full ownership of client projects, ensuring top AI Lab customers are delighted with outcomes and timelines.
- 2Design, optimize, and manage complex finance-specific data pipelines to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- 3Lead and mentor a team of Human Data Managers and Leads who oversee subject-matter experts in finance.
- 4Serve as the direct point of contact for AI Labs on high-stakes, high-impact initiatives.
- 5Collaborate with Human Data Engineers to define, track, and continuously improve KPIs across finance workflows.
- 6Deliver executive-level updates and insights on project status, data performance, and operational impact.
- 7Report directly to the CEO and Head of Human Data, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.
Requirements6
- 1Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, especially when working with senior finance professionals.
- 2Comfortable with intense, fast-paced startup hours—including weekends—to meet ambitious deadlines.
- 3A startup and entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, resourceful, and eager to build from scratch.
- 4Strong background in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent hands-on exposure to financial data systems.
- 5At least 2+ years in a leadership role driving operational processes, managing large-scale finance data projects, or optimizing complex workflows.
- 6A passion for identifying inefficiencies, rapidly executing solutions, and working in high-stakes environments.

Salary Insight
The base salary range for this full-time remote role is $180,000–$230,000 USD, plus eligibility for equity compensation and performance-based bonuses. micro1 also offers comprehensive benefits including up to 100% health insurance premium reimbursement, paid time off, and a 401(K) plan with company match.
