Strategic Project Lead, MD/Health | $80-$90/hr Remote
Overview
This role is the main point of contact for top AI Lab customers, managing a team of healthcare and medical experts (including PhDs, Professors, and MDs) to train frontier AI models. The Strategic Project Lead ensures high standards in data integrity, scalability, and quality by overseeing the design and execution of workflows that structure, optimize, and manage large-scale data pipelines. They own projects end-to-end, drive operational improvements, and report directly to the CEO and Head of Human Data.
What You'll Do7
- 1Own projects end to end, ensuring top AI Lab clients are extremely happy
- 2Own and manage complex healthcare and medical data pipelines, improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- 3Manage teams of Human Data Managers and Leads reviewing the work of healthcare and medical subject-matter experts
- 4Communicate directly with top AI Labs on massive, high-impact projects
- 5Work with Human Data Engineers to define, track, and optimize KPIs across expert-driven workflows
- 6Provide executive-level insights and updates on key projects, data performance, and operational impact
- 7Report directly to the CEO and Head of Human Data
Requirements7
- 1MD degree is a strong plus (nice to have)
- 2Exceptional soft skills and stakeholder management ability, especially with senior healthcare and medical experts
- 3Willingness to grind long hours, including weekends, in a fast-moving startup environment
- 4Strong startup and entrepreneurial mindset
- 5Background in data operations, engineering, computer science, or deep exposure to healthcare/medicine
- 62+ years in a leadership role driving operational processes, managing large-scale or healthcare-focused data projects, or optimizing complex workflows
- 7Passion for building from the ground up, identifying inefficiencies, and executing solutions rapidly in high-stakes environments

Salary Insight
Full-time base salary range of $180,000 – $230,000 USD per year, plus equity compensation, performance-based bonuses, up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, 401(K) with company match, and other remote-first benefits.
