Remote contract role for a native Slovak speaker serving as a Slovak Language Expert within SME Careers. What You'll Do6
- 1Create high-quality Slovak training prompts and benchmark answers across domains like general knowledge, customer support, education, and translation tasks.
- 2Assess AI outputs for fluency, accuracy, tone alignment, and cultural appropriateness; provide concrete written feedback.
- 3Identify unsafe content, mistranslations, bias, and ambiguities; document issues with clear examples to guide improvements.
- 4Develop rewritten Slovak references and model answers that demonstrate proper style and register for different audiences.
- 5Compare multiple AI responses, rating them on correctness and overall quality against rubric-based criteria.
- 6Support peer reviews and contribute to shared guidelines to ensure consistency across projects.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Slovak Language, Slovak Literature, English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2Native or near-native Slovak proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong professional English proficiency at C1 or higher.
- 4At least 3 years in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
- 5Deep knowledge of Slovak grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, diacritics, cases, declension, conjugation, aspect, word order, tone, and style, with ability to explain corrections.
- 6Experience handling multiple registers (formal, neutral, conversational, professional, educational, public-facing) based on audience and project.
- 7High attention to detail for subtle meaning shifts, awkward translations, incorrect endings, or culturally mismatched wording.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, localization QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.
