Listing checked September 5, 2026 · pay as published by Micro1
Overview
micro1 is looking for a Revenue Operations Specialist to support a client project that sharpens operational efficiency and data integrity in complex SaaS settings. You will apply your hands-on experience to help train next-generation AI systems, providing real-world input that shapes how models learn and reason. No AI background is needed; your domain expertise is the key. This remote contractor role suits professionals who own CRM systems and adjacent revenue tools, especially in regulated or multi-product environments where judgment and clear communication matter.
What You'll Do7
- 1Evaluate and refine CRM data models to meet evolving sales, customer success, and revenue operations needs.
- 2Spot and resolve conflicting operational policies, documenting the reasoning and tradeoffs behind each decision.
- 3Build and test compliance-constrained workflows for SaaS revenue processes, ensuring they meet industry-specific regulations.
- 4Find and fix gaps in revenue data integrity to support accurate reporting and analytics.
- 5Provide detailed walk-throughs of system configurations, explaining decision points and lessons learned.
- 6Share written and verbal insights for scenario-based operational training tasks with project stakeholders.
- 7Suggest system improvements that enhance scalability, compliance, and cross-functional alignment.
Requirements7
- 14+ years of direct, hands-on experience in SaaS revenue, sales, customer success, or implementation operations (not just adjacent or management-only exposure).
- 2Proven CRM ownership (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) with configuration experience, plus at least two additional tools like billing, CPQ, ticketing, or project tracking.
- 3Ability to resolve policy conflicts and explain operational tradeoffs in high-compliance settings (fintech, healthtech, insurtech, or similar preferred).
- 4Strong operational judgment to make and justify process decisions where rules, regulations, or business needs intersect.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting logic and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 6Experience in process design for regulated industries or multi-product SaaS implementations, focusing on compliance and reporting accuracy.
- 7Comfort with ambiguity, knowing what to change versus what to keep stable, and articulating the rationale.
Who Should Apply
This role is for a revenue operations professional who has spent years configuring CRMs and wrestling with policy conflicts in regulated SaaS environments. You should be someone who can explain why a process works or fails, and who enjoys documenting decisions for others. If you have only managed teams or worked in adjacent functions without direct system ownership, this role will not fit. Candidates often miss out when they lack specific examples of resolving policy conflicts or when they cannot articulate tradeoffs clearly. Also, those who struggle with ambiguity or need rigid structures may find the scenario-based tasks challenging.
