React Native Engineer for AI Training Content
Overview
This fully remote, hourly contractor role centers on reviewing AI-generated React Native code, mobile architectures, and technical explanations, while delivering high quality reference implementations with clear step-by-step reasoning. You will assess solutions for correctness, security, and performance, and rate multiple AI responses on reasoning quality and alignment with React Navigation and native modules. You’ll spot platform differences between iOS and Android, identify rendering and navigation issues, and flag memory leaks or bottlenecks. This position supports AI data training initiatives at SME Careers and opens paths to future, eligible projects in AI development.
What You'll Do7
- 1Craft AI Training Content for React Native topics and draft precise reference answers to guide model learning.
- 2Develop reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning to tackle complex mobile engineering problems using TypeScript.
- 3Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness and security, providing actionable improvements focused on performance.
- 4Test model outputs on iOS and Android to uncover issues in rendering, navigation, or native module integration.
- 5Compare multiple AI responses for reasoning quality and alignment with React Navigation and native modules best practices.
- 6Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure training content aligns with CI/CD pipelines and release practices.
- 7Document findings and contribute to prompt design to improve future model solutions.
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 24+ years building production mobile apps with React Native (2+ years in RN preferred).
- 3Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React (hooks, state management, memoization).
- 4Hands-on with RN fundamentals: components, gestures, animations, deep links, and notifications.
- 5Experience with React Navigation and managing complex app flows.
- 6Platform-specific debugging on iOS and Android (builds, logs, profiling, release issues).
- 7Familiarity with native integration: bridging/native modules, permissions, CocoaPods/Gradle.
- 8Performance mindset to diagnose startup time, jank, large lists, and bundle size.
- 9Data and networking experience: error handling, caching, offline-first strategies, and secure storage basics.
- 10Testing and quality: Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Appium; CI/CD familiarity.
- 11Minimum C1 English proficiency; ability to write clear technical explanations.
- 12Nice-to-have: experience with AI data training or evaluating AI-generated content.
Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates bring hands-on React Native and TypeScript experience and have previously produced AI training prompts and reference solutions. They translate complex mobile topics into precise prompts and clear explanations in English. This role suits those comfortable working remotely on an hourly contract and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Applicants without mobile production experience or without AI data training exposure are unlikely to fit. Those who cannot articulate technical decisions or demonstrate structured reasoning may score lower.
Salary Insight
Compensation is $100 per hour. This is an hourly remote contractor role typical for seasoned React Native engineers contributing to AI data training projects.
