Overview
Work remotely as an iOS Engineer on an hourly contract to review AI-generated iOS code, mobile architectures, and technical explanations. Produce high-quality reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning for complex engineering problems in Swift and Objective-C. Evaluate AI outputs for correctness, security, performance, and reliability across real-world iOS scenarios, including UIKit and SwiftUI challenges. What You'll Do5
- 1Review AI-generated iOS code, architectures, and explanations remotely, identifying gaps in UIKit and SwiftUI implementations and memory patterns.
- 2Develop clear reference implementations and step-by-step model solutions for challenging iOS problems using Swift and Objective-C.
- 3Evaluate AI responses for correctness, security, performance, and reliability, and propose concrete improvements.
- 4Document issues in threading, concurrency, and app lifecycle practices; produce actionable notes to improve prompts and training data.
- 5Coordinate with the AI data team to rate and compare model outputs against real-world iOS scenarios.

- 1Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 24+ years building production iOS apps in Swift and ideally Objective-C codebases.
- 3Expert-level proficiency in Swift 5+ with value/reference semantics, generics, protocols, and error handling.
- 4iOS fundamentals: app lifecycle, view/controller patterns, navigation, state management, and background execution.
- 5Strong concurrency experience with GCD, OperationQueue, and modern async/await patterns; awareness of race conditions and thread-safety.
- 6Deep understanding of ARC and memory patterns (retain cycles, weak/unowned, leaks) and experience with Instruments.
- 7Experience with networking and data: URLSession, JSON parsing, caching, offline strategies, and persistence (Core Data/SQLite/Realm).
- 8Testing and quality: XCTest, UI testing, mocking strategies, Fastlane is a plus, and App Store release hygiene.
- 9Security awareness: secure storage (Keychain), transport security, auth flows, privacy permissions, and sensitive data handling.
- 10C1 English proficiency, with the ability to write clear technical explanations.
- 11AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus.
- 12Highly detail-oriented and methodical with a structured approach to evaluating iOS code.
