Python Quality Lead for AI Training Projects Remote
Overview
Remote hourly Python Quality Assurance Lead overseeing AI training projects to ensure code quality across contributors. You review AI-generated Python code, assess correctness and readability, and provide precise feedback aligned with project rubrics. You’ll coordinate with trainers on Discord, update guidelines, and maintain onboarding documentation. This role centers on leadership in Python QA, AI training, and LLM evaluation to help production-ready data meet client standards.
What You'll Do9
- 1Spot-check Python items for quality issues and provide direct feedback via DMs, escalating recurring or critical problems to the team.
- 2Review AI-generated Python code, debugging responses, algorithms, backend snippets, automation scripts, tests, and explanations.
- 3Keep trainers and QAs on Discord updated about guidelines, workflow changes, and Python-specific quality expectations.
- 4Answer questions about Python syntax, runtime behavior, exceptions, package usage, testing, typing, security, performance, and rubric interpretation.
- 5Direct message inactive contributors to re-engage them, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues.
- 6Create and maintain Python documentation, style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
- 7Lead onboarding and training sessions for Python contributors.
- 8Flag misleading, non-executable, insecure, inefficient, or non-production-ready Python recommendations.
- 9Identify recurring quality gaps and refine Python QA workflows.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional software engineering experience.
- 2Strong command of English to follow guidelines and provide clear technical feedback.
- 33+ years of professional Python development, backend engineering, automation, scripting, data workflows, code review, QA, teaching, or technical mentoring.
- 4Solid grasp of Python fundamentals: data structures, functions, classes, modules, exceptions, comprehensions, iterators, generators, decorators, context managers, virtual environments, packaging, and testing.
- 5Ability to assess Python content against rubrics and identify issues such as illogical logic, non-executable code, poor exception handling, inefficient algorithms, unsafe file or network operations, hallucinated APIs, or incomplete explanations.
- 6Familiarity with pytest, unittest, typing, mypy, pip, poetry, virtualenv, FastAPI, Flask, Django, requests, asyncio, pandas, SQLAlchemy, GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, engineers, reviewers, annotators, educators, or QAs.
- 8Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, GitHub, and project-management tools.
- 9Highly organized and capable of maintaining style guides, onboarding materials, FAQs, trackers, calibration tasks, and documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, code QA, or rubric-based code review is a strong plus.
