What You'll Do10
- 1Spot-check Python ML outputs to identify quality gaps and deliver targeted feedback via direct messages.
- 2Evaluate AI-generated Python code, PyTorch and scikit-learn pipelines, data preprocessing steps, training workflows, and evaluation logic for correctness and reproducibility.
- 3Provide rubric-aligned feedback to contributors and escalate systemic quality issues.
- 4Communicate guideline changes and review standards to the Discord community; keep onboarding docs up to date.
- 5Answer questions on Python syntax, package usage, data leakage risks, model validation, metrics, and reproducibility.
- 6Manage activation of inactive contributors, prompting follow-ups and tracking availability.
- 7Develop and maintain Python ML style guides, FAQs, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
- 8Lead onboarding sessions for Python ML contributors and deliver remote training.
- 9Flag risky, non-production-ready recommendations and suggest corrective actions.
- 10Identify recurring quality gaps and design scalable QA processes.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 2Strong command of English for following guidelines, team communication, and technical feedback.
- 33+ years of professional experience in Python development, machine learning, data science, ML engineering, model evaluation, research engineering, technical review, or ML education.
- 4Solid grasp of Python fundamentals including data structures, functions, classes, iterators, comprehensions, exception handling, virtual environments, package management, testing, and debugging.
- 5Strong understanding of ML topics such as supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, train/test splits, cross-validation, model selection, data leakage, regression, classification, clustering, metrics, bias/variance, regularization, and reproducibility.
- 6Ability to evaluate ML content against detailed rubrics and identify issues like flawed methodology, wrong metrics, data leakage, non-reproducible code, invalid assumptions, or incomplete explanations.
- 7Familiarity with NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, XGBoost/LightGBM, Jupyter, matplotlib, seaborn, MLflow, Hugging Face, SQL, GitHub, Docker, and CI/CD is preferred.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, engineers, data scientists, ML researchers, coding mentors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
- 9Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, GitHub, and project management systems.
- 10Highly organized with the ability to maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, onboarding materials, calibration tasks, and quality documentation.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, code QA, ML QA, or rubric-based technical review is a strong plus.
