Punjabi QA Lead for AI Training Data Remote Contract
Overview
As a Punjabi Quality Assurance Lead, you will steer quality and consistency across remote AI training projects. You will review AI training outputs in Punjabi and assess trainer and QA work against project rubrics and style guides. Provide precise written feedback to contributors to ensure compliance with client expectations. You will also create and maintain Punjabi project documentation, onboard new teammates, and coordinate with a distributed team of trainers and reviewers.
What You'll Do8
- 1Review Punjabi content produced by AI systems for accuracy, fluency, spelling, tone, and cultural context against project rubrics.
- 2Deliver clear written feedback to trainers and QAs via Discord and documentation outlets, and escalate critical quality issues as needed.
- 3Update trainers and QAs on new guidelines, workflow changes, and quality expectations to keep the team aligned.
- 4Proactively activate inactive contributors, monitor availability, and track follow-ups to maintain steady output.
- 5Create and maintain Punjabi project documentation, including style guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, and quality notes.
- 6Lead onboarding and training sessions with trainers and QAs to clarify expectations, rubrics, and Punjabi script requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Punjabi language guidelines across multiple projects and teams.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA processes for Punjabi-language work.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Punjabi, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, English, Education, QA, or a related field.
- 2Native or near-native Punjabi with strong reading and writing skills; comfortable with Gurmukhi and/or Shahmukhi scripts and able to specify which scripts you read/write.
- 3Strong English proficiency to follow project guidelines and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years in Punjabi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Solid understanding of Punjabi grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, dialect variation, and cultural context.
- 6Experience evaluating Punjabi content against rubrics and identifying issues like mistranslation, awkward phrasing, or inconsistent terminology.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, or QAs is highly preferred.
- 8Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
- 9Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining style guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, trackers, and quality documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, or rubric-based QA is a strong plus.
Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of Punjabi language QA, localization, or AI training work and have demonstrated remote team collaboration. Native or near-native Punjabi with strong English communication and script handling is essential. Those without proven leadership in remote trainer or QA teams or without fluency in Punjabi will be less suitable. Salary Insight
Pay is $25/hr. This hourly rate fits mid-senior remote QA leadership roles in AI data services and reflects contract-based, project-driven work.
