As a remote Punjabi Language Expert, you review AI-generated content and produce high-quality Punjabi reference material to support AI data training. You assess outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit, flagging meaning shifts, mistranslations, and register gaps. Deliver precise written feedback and craft polished Punjabi rewrites and model answers that demonstrate best practices in writing. - 1bachelor’s degree or higher in linguistics, Punjabi/english literature, communications, journalism, translation, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2native or near-native punjabi reading and writing proficiency
- 3strong professional english proficiency (minimum c1) for guidelines and English feedback
- 43+ years of experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content qa, journalism, education, or related language work
- 5deep understanding of punjabi grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style with ability to explain fixes
- 6comfort with script requirements: gurmukhi and/or shahmukhi; indicate readable/writable scripts
- 7ability to handle multiple registers and dialect variation for india, pakistan, and diaspora
- 8high attention to detail to spot meaning shifts, awkward translations, and culturally mismatched phrasing
- 9reliable, self-directed, able to maintain quality hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones
- 10prior experience with ai data training/annotation, translation qa, editorial qa, or rubric-based evaluation preferred
