Overview
As a remote Public Health Expert, you’ll serve as an SME reviewing AI data training outputs and crafting expert content for public health and population-health prompts. You’ll assess reasoning quality, flag errors in epidemiology reasoning and surveillance logic, and deliver precise feedback. Provide concise explanations and model solutions that illustrate correct reasoning and align with evidence-based public health guidelines. What You'll Do7
- 1Design AI training prompts and gold-standard answers across epidemiology, public health practice, policy, prevention, and risk communication.
- 2Assess AI responses for accuracy, clarity, context, and scientific rigor.
- 3Identify inaccuracies, biased interpretations, unsafe recommendations, and flawed surveillance logic.
- 4Provide precise written feedback and example explanations that illustrate correct reasoning.
- 5Rate and compare multiple responses to guide improvements across populations and settings.
- 6Document evaluations with rationale and evidence pathways to support SME and developer teams.
- 7Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content remains aligned with current health evidence and policy guidance.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field; MPH preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- 25+ years of professional experience in public health across government, NGOs, academia, healthcare systems, or consulting.
- 3Strong public health reasoning including problem framing, causal thinking, bias awareness, risk stratification.
- 4Deep understanding of population-level disease processes, prevention, screening concepts, vaccination principles, and health behavior frameworks.
- 5Excellent attention to detail for fact-checking and identifying unsafe assumptions; English proficiency at C1.
- 6Comfort evaluating denominators, rates, time horizons, surveillance definitions, and uncertainty.
- 7Reliable, self-directed contractor who can deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote workflow across time zones.
- 8Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, guideline work, systematic reviews, program evaluation, policy analysis, or editorial QA is strongly preferred.
