As a Nepali QA Lead for SME Careers, this hourly contract role centers on quality control across Nepali AI training projects. What You'll Do9
- 1Monitor Nepali QA outputs, spot quality issues, and provide written feedback to contributors.
- 2Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new guidelines, project changes, workflow updates, quality expectations, and Nepali standards.
- 3Answer questions on Nepali grammar, Devanagari script, terminology, and translation fidelity with clear, actionable guidance.
- 4Manage activation and follow-ups for contributors who are inactive or underperforming.
- 5Create and maintain Nepali project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding and training sessions with trainers and QAs to explain expectations, rubrics, and language requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Nepali language guidelines as projects evolve.
- 8Flag recurring quality issues and escalate to project leads with concrete patterns and concerns.
- 9Identify quality gaps and propose scalable QA workflow improvements for Nepali-language AI training projects.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics.
- 2Native or near-native Nepali with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong English language skills to follow project guidelines, communicate with teams, and provide feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in Nepali writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related language-review workflows.
- 5Deep understanding of Nepali grammar, Devanagari script, honorifics, postpositions, verb forms, agreement, tone, register, and cultural context.
- 6Ability to evaluate Nepali content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, awkward phrasing, incorrect honorific level, or terminology inconsistency.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
- 8Comfortable working in fast-moving remote environments using tools such as Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
- 9Highly detail-oriented and organized, with experience maintaining style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, quality notes, and documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, rubric-based LLM review, or related localization QA is a strong plus.
