Military/Veteran Mental Health Experts | $100-$200/hr Remote
Overview
micro1 is hiring licensed mental health professionals for a remote contractor role supporting AI model training for mental health applications. You will apply your clinical expertise to review case studies, evaluate simulated patient interactions, and provide feedback that shapes how AI systems understand military and veteran care. The work is paid at $100-$200 per hour and does not require prior AI experience. Your domain knowledge in areas like PTSD, TBI, and trauma-informed care is the core qualification.
What You'll Do7
- 1Assess mental health resources, clinical case vignettes, and mock patient dialogues focused on service members and veterans.
- 2Deliver detailed feedback and clinical insights to improve AI algorithms' grasp of evidence-based practices, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment methods.
- 3Draft, revise, and select conversation prompts, model responses, and situational examples that mirror the real issues faced by military and veteran patients.
- 4Pinpoint military-specific language, cultural subtleties, and communication styles needed for effective mental health interactions with this group.
- 5Join online meetings and consultation calls to coordinate project objectives and contribute your clinical viewpoint.
- 6Record observations, suggestions, and possible enhancements in a logical, easy-to-read format.
- 7Verify that every deliverable meets rigorous criteria for clinical correctness, applicability, and sensitivity to the distinct needs of service members and veterans.
Requirements8
- 1Board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist who has finished residency, or a psychologist with a completed doctorate.
- 2Hands-on clinical experience providing therapy or psychiatric care to active-duty military or veteran patients.
- 3Strong knowledge of trauma-related conditions such as PTSD, traumatic brain injury, adjustment disorder, and other frequent diagnoses in the military community.
- 4Clear writing and speaking skills, with the capability to explain intricate clinical topics to non-specialists.
- 5Prior work creating or reviewing clinical documentation, educational materials, or diagnostic instruments.
- 6Precise attention to detail, commitment to clinical accuracy, and sensitivity to cultural differences.
- 7Openness to working on technology-oriented mental health projects and interest in AI applications.
- 8Multilingual candidates are a plus, especially those who speak Japanese, French, Tagalog, Malay, Lithuanian, Russian, Georgian, Polish, Marathi, Bengali, Urdu, Vietnamese, Swahili, Mandarin, Cantonese, Indonesian, Turkish, Gujarati, or Bulgarian.
Who Should Apply
Licensed psychiatrists or psychologists with direct clinical experience serving military and veteran populations bring the exact background this role needs. The position rewards professionals who can translate complex clinical knowledge into clear feedback for AI training. It is less suited to clinicians without direct military or veteran care experience, or those who prefer traditional patient-facing roles over behind-the-scenes content review. Common reasons candidates miss the mark include lacking the required residency or doctorate credential, or having no documented experience with PTSD and TBI in service members. Strong written communication is critical, so vague or unstructured responses during the hiring process often screen people out.
Salary Insight
The pay range is $100 to $200 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This rate will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
