Overview
micro1 is seeking experienced Child & Online Safety experts to help train next-generation AI systems focused on protecting young people online. You'll apply your deep domain knowledge—no AI background required—to build mental-health safety evaluation frameworks and digital risk-assessment protocols. This contract role lets you directly shape how AI models handle crisis scenarios involving minors.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build comprehensive taxonomies covering self-harm, suicide prevention, eating disorders, and emotional dependency in digital environments.
- 2Define best-practice standards for providing digital clinical support and safety for adolescent mental health.
- 3Design detection frameworks that automatically identify, flag, and evaluate harmful online content and advice related to youth mental-health crises.
- 4Develop clinical response rubrics and escalation protocols for at-risk individuals in online spaces.
- 5Collaborate with project leads to ensure all benchmarks and guidelines are grounded in current research and clinical best practices.
- 6Offer expert insights on CSAM-adjacent policy and online exploitation dynamics to strengthen digital child safety measures.
- 7Deliver clear written and verbal feedback that guides the ongoing improvement of AI safety tools and frameworks.
Requirements7
- 1Licensed therapist, psychiatrist, clinician, or mental-health professional with hands-on crisis-care experience.
- 2At least 5 years of focused work in adolescent mental health, suicide prevention, eating-disorder intervention, or a closely related field; 8–20 years preferred for senior contributors.
- 3Proven expertise in clinical risk assessment and intervention within digital or online settings.
- 4An advanced degree, specialized certification, or equivalent operational experience in mental-health or child safety.
- 5Familiarity with evaluating or implementing CSAM-adjacent policies or working on child online exploitation prevention initiatives.
- 6Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences.
- 7A recognized track record of impact in clinical, crisis-response, or safety evaluation communities.
