Marathi Linguistic QA Specialist

What You'll Do8

• Spot-check Marathi items across live projects, log quality problems, and send targeted feedback to contributors through direct messages.
• Flag critical or repeated defects to project leads before they spread through a batch.
• Post guideline revisions, workflow changes, and quality expectations for trainers and QAs on Discord.
• Answer contributor questions about Marathi register, regional usage, translation fidelity, and edge cases.
• Message inactive contributors, track follow-ups, and report availability gaps that stall delivery.
• Build and maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, honeypots, and onboarding material for Marathi projects.
• Run onboarding and training calls that walk trainers and QAs through rubrics, workflows, and Marathi style rules.
• Watch for recurring quality gaps and propose workflow fixes that scale across Marathi-language projects.

Requirements8

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marathi, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a related field.
• Native or near-native Marathi reading and writing ability.
• English strong enough to follow written guidelines and give clear feedback to remote colleagues.
• 3+ years of professional work in Marathi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, teaching, or annotation.
• Deep knowledge of Marathi grammar, spelling, punctuation, register, regional variation, and cultural context.
• Skill at judging Marathi content against detailed rubrics and naming specific faults such as mistranslation, literal phrasing, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, or inconsistent terminology.
• Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
• Organized enough to keep style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding material current.

Preferred Qualifications2

• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
• Background in AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt and response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA.
