Overview
As a Marathi Language SME on a contract basis, you will review ai data training content and, when needed, create high quality marathi reference material. This hourly, remote role requires clear guidance in English to help refine prompts and model outputs. You will evaluate outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit, and identify issues in meaning, mistranslation, register, ambiguity, or logical consistency. You will draft polished rewrites and model answers that illustrate best practices in Marathi writing, supporting ongoing improvements to localization and translation QA in the training data.

- 1Develop AI training content by crafting prompts and gold-standard Marathi answers across domains such as general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing.
- 2Evaluate AI outputs for fluency, accuracy, tone alignment, and cultural appropriateness; provide a rubric-based rating.
- 3Identify unsafe or misleading content, factual hallucinations, bias, and policy-risk language; verify reliability across use cases.
- 4Draft high-quality rewrites and model answers that illustrate best practices in Marathi writing.
- 5Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and overall quality.
- 6Document evaluation results in project tools and provide precise English feedback.
- 7Collaborate with style guides and glossary terms to ensure consistent terminology.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in mathematics
- 2Native or near-native marathi proficiency (reading and writing)
- 3Strong professional proficiency in english proficiency (C1) to follow guidelines and provide detailed feedback in English
- 43+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work
- 5Deep understanding of Marathi grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style; able to explain why something is wrong and how to fix it
- 6Comfortable handling multiple registers, dialect variation, and audience adaptation
- 7High attention to detail when spotting subtle meaning shifts, awkward literal translations, hallucinated claims, or culturally mismatched phrasing
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones
- 9Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred
