Overview
This is a unique opportunity for experienced M&A Attorneys to apply their expertise at the cutting edge of legal AI. You'll work remotely on a contract basis, helping train and refine advanced AI models by simulating contract negotiations and evaluating AI-generated responses. Your insights will directly shape how AI interprets complex agreements like APAs and SPAs, making legal technology smarter and more reliable.
What You'll Do5
- 1Run simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises to test AI capabilities in real-world scenarios.
- 2Review and critique AI-generated contract responses, offering expert feedback to improve its precision and legal reasoning.
- 3Develop objective scoring frameworks and grading rubrics to consistently evaluate AI performance on contract-related tasks.
- 4Partner with product and research teams to refine training data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.
- 5Translate deep legal knowledge into actionable insights that enhance AI model training and evaluation.
Requirements6
- 1A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2Minimum 2 years of experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm, with hands-on work on APAs and SPAs.
- 3Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, plus a meticulous eye for detail when analyzing contracts.
- 4Strong analytical ability to turn legal expertise into structured, usable feedback for AI systems.
- 5A demonstrated passion for innovation at the intersection of law and technology, and comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- 6Prior exposure to AI, legal tech, or model training initiatives is a plus, as is experience with private equity firms.
