Overview
Turing seeks experienced healthcare regulatory attorneys to help refine large language models like ChatGPT. Your work directly shapes how AI understands HIPAA, FDA approval pathways, and fraud and abuse laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law. You will review AI-generated answers to complex healthcare law scenarios, apply a structured legal rubric, and provide written feedback that improves model accuracy. This fully remote, flexible engagement runs about one month, with potential extension based on performance.
What You'll Do5
- Evaluate AI-generated responses to hypothetical U.S. healthcare law questions covering HIPAA privacy and security rules, Anti-Kickback Statute safe harbors, Stark Law exceptions, and FDA approval pathways like 510(k), PMA, and NDA.
- Apply a detailed legal rubric to check issue spotting, regulatory accuracy, and correct use of CMS guidance and FDA rules.
- Spot logical gaps in AI reasoning about fraud and abuse compliance, clinical trial regulations, telehealth law, and pharmacy benefit management.
- Write clear, thorough annotations and feedback that help refine AI model behavior.
- Work with researchers and project managers to keep evaluation standards consistent and aligned with project goals.
Requirements5
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and active or inactive bar admission.
- At least 3 years of U.S. legal practice focused on healthcare law, FDA regulatory affairs, or healthcare compliance.
- Solid grasp of HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and FDA regulations.
- Strong analytical writing and close attention to detail.
- High ethical standards and a genuine interest in AI applications for law.
Preferred Qualifications1
- Interest in AI and its use in the legal field
Who Should Apply
Candidates with a J.D., active or inactive bar membership, and 3+ years in U.S. healthcare law or FDA regulatory work will thrive here. The role suits attorneys who enjoy dissecting Stark Law exceptions, False Claims Act liability, and pre-market approval pathways while contributing to AI model quality.
