Overview
Turing seeks seasoned U.S. corporate law and M&A practitioners to refine how AI models like ChatGPT handle complex corporate legal scenarios. In this remote role, you will evaluate AI-generated responses to hypotheticals involving merger agreements, fiduciary duties, and SEC compliance, using a structured rubric to spot errors in issue identification and application of Delaware General Corporation Law. Your annotations will directly inform model training, helping the next generation of AI better understand deal structuring, indemnification, and material adverse change clauses. The position offers flexible hours and demands no prior AI experience, only deep expertise in U.S. corporate practice.
What You'll Do6
- Assess AI-generated answers to corporate law and M&A hypotheticals, covering topics such as merger agreements, shareholder disputes, and SEC compliance.
- Apply a legal rubric to check issue spotting, accuracy of governance principles, and correct use of Delaware corporate law and federal securities regulations.
- Detect weaknesses in AI reasoning on deal structures, representations and warranties, indemnification provisions, and material adverse change clauses.
- Write detailed annotations and feedback that help refine AI models.
- Work with researchers and project managers to maintain consistent evaluation standards.
- Participate in calibration sessions to align scoring and feedback quality across the team.
Requirements6
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Active or inactive Bar admission.
- At least 3 years of U.S. legal practice in corporate law, M&A, or transactional advisory.
- Strong analytical skills in corporate governance, securities regulation, entity formation, and deal execution.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- High ethical standards.
Preferred Qualifications1
- Interest in artificial intelligence.
Who Should Apply
Candidates with a J.D., active bar membership, and 3+ years of U.S. corporate or M&A practice will find this role fits their expertise. The position suits lawyers who enjoy dissecting deal structures and providing structured feedback to improve AI reasoning.
