Overview
This role is for an experienced energy regulatory attorney to work as a contractor, providing domain expertise to train next-generation AI systems. You will perform final legal review of site control packages and interconnection compliance documents, resolve document disputes, and assess filings against FERC regulations and PJM interconnection requirements. Your work directly shapes how AI models learn and reason in the energy regulatory space.

Requirements5
- 1Active bar membership with current or recent practice in energy regulatory or infrastructure law.
- 28+ years of relevant legal experience.
- 3Direct experience with PJM Interconnection processes — site control requirements and interconnection queue compliance.
- 4Working knowledge of FERC regulations as they apply to transmission and generation interconnection.
- 5East Coast-based with East Coast-focused legal practice.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate is an experienced energy regulatory attorney with at least 8 years of practice, active bar membership, and deep familiarity with PJM interconnection compliance and FERC regulations. You should be based on the East Coast and have a background working at a law firm, utility, independent power producer (IPP), or federal energy regulator. Prior experience as lead or senior counsel on PJM interconnection matters and familiarity with utility-scale renewables permitting is highly valued.
