What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct final legal review and approval of site control packages and interconnection compliance documents for large-scale energy projects.
- 2Handle escalated document conflicts flagged by Tier 1 reviewers, ensuring resolutions meet legal and regulatory standards.
- 3Evaluate and confirm that project filings adhere to FERC regulations and PJM Interconnection requirements.
- 4Review transmission and generation permitting submissions to guarantee full legal and regulatory alignment.
- 5Produce structured legal opinions and findings in standardized formats for client delivery.
- 6Collaborate with project teams to tackle complex legal and compliance challenges during development.
- 7Monitor evolving federal and PJM regulatory changes to advise on proactive compliance strategies.
Requirements6
- 1Active bar membership with a background in energy regulatory or infrastructure law.
- 2At least 8 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within PJM markets or similar jurisdictions.
- 3Proven experience with PJM Interconnection processes, including site control requirements and queue compliance.
- 4Deep understanding of FERC regulations as they apply to transmission and generation interconnection.
- 5Legal practice focused on East Coast energy regulatory requirements.
- 6Prior work at a law firm, utility, independent power producer, or federal energy regulatory agency.
