As an Economics QA Lead, you guide quality across economics-focused AI training initiatives delivered remotely. You will review AI-generated economics content, policy analyses, and data interpretations to ensure accuracy and clarity against project rubrics. You’ll craft precise written feedback and coordinate with a dispersed team of analysts, reviewers, and QAs through collaborative channels. Documentation, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials support scalable QA processes across projects.
What You'll Do10
- 1Quality monitoring across economics items, identifying quality issues, and delivering targeted feedback with escalation for recurring problems.
- 2Evaluate AI-generated economics explanations, calculations, graphs, and policy analyses for accuracy and clear reasoning against rubrics.
- 3Keep trainers and QAs aligned by sharing updates on new guidelines and workflow changes via project channels such as Discord.
- 4Respond to questions about economic models, assumptions, formulas, graphs, data interpretation, and rubric interpretation with clarity and speed.
- 5Activate and re-engage contributors who are inactive, track follow-ups, and surface availability gaps to maintain steady progress.
- 6Develop and maintain economics project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding resources.
- 7Coordinate onboarding calls to explain expectations, workflows, rubrics, quality standards, and economics-specific review requirements.
- 8Ensure consistent application of economics-review guidelines and adapt training as projects evolve.
- 9Flag overconfident, biased, or weak economic claims to maintain high-quality outputs.
- 10Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA process improvements for economics AI training projects.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in economics, econometrics, public policy, finance, statistics, mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- 2Strong command of English to follow guidelines and provide clear written feedback.
- 33+ years in economics research, policy analysis, economic consulting, data analysis, econometrics, content review, or related analytical workflows.
- 4Solid understanding of microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, elasticity, and policy topics, plus basic econometric reasoning.
- 5Ability to evaluate economics content against rubrics and spot incorrect assumptions, flawed causal reasoning, or misleading data representations.
- 6Familiarity with regression analysis, causal inference, economic modeling, and tools such as Excel, R, Python, Stata, or public datasets; academic economics writing is a plus.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of analysts, reviewers, educators, annotators, or QAs is highly preferred.
- 8Comfort working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, Google Sheets/Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
- 9Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and calibration tasks.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, economics QA, or rubric-based review is a strong plus.
