You'll join a distributed team evaluating clinical documentation and AI-generated notes for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity. Using your ICD-10 skills, you'll check whether AI summaries align with source records and flag documentation gaps. You'll also work in a multilingual cohort, so you need to read, write, and speak a second language at C1 or above. Your feedback will help refine the annotation guidelines that guide these AI tools. This part-time, remote role offers flexible hours but requires at least 10 hours per week.

- 1Review clinical records for coding accuracy and completeness, ensuring every documented detail is captured.
- 2Evaluate AI-generated encounter notes against real-world documentation standards, spotting discrepancies.
- 3Validate that assigned ICD-10 codes match the clinical record and that the documentation supports each code.
- 4Annotate clinical text according to detailed guidelines, flagging omissions, inaccuracies, or ambiguities.
- 5Write structured feedback for engineering and product teams that describes issues and suggests corrections.
- 6Identify recurring gaps in AI output and propose updates to annotation guidelines to address them.
- 7Raise clarifying questions when the guidelines leave room for interpretation, helping to refine the rubric.
- 8Share your expertise on coding standards to help improve the overall quality of the AI system.
Requirements6
- 1Current, active certification in at least one of: CCS, CPC, CHC, or CCDS.
- 2Demonstrated experience using ICD-10 codes in a clinical setting.
- 3Currently working as a medical coder, in clinical documentation improvement, or in a similar documentation role.
- 4Based in the United States.
- 5Advanced C1 proficiency in English and at least one other language across speaking, listening, and writing.
- 6Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week to this contract.
