What You'll Do8
- 1Spot-check Traditional Chinese Hong Kong Cantonese items, identify quality gaps, and provide ongoing feedback via direct messages to contributors, escalating systemic issues.
- 2Keep trainers and QAs informed about new guidelines, project changes, and quality standards through regular Discord updates and documented notes.
- 3Answer questions about Cantonese phrasing, Hong Kong conventions, punctuation, and translation fidelity to guide decisions and maintain consistency.
- 4Reach out to inactive contributors via direct message, encourage activation, track follow-ups, and flag availability as needed.
- 5Develop and maintain Traditional Chinese Hong Kong Cantonese project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding resources.
- 6Schedule onboarding calls with trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, rubrics, quality standards, and Hong Kong style requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Traditional Chinese Hong Kong / Cantonese guidelines across all trainers and QAs as projects evolve.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and help build scalable QA processes for Traditional Chinese Hong Kong Cantonese projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Cantonese, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong grasp of Cantonese and Hong Kong usage, including tone, terminology, punctuation, and cultural context.
- 4Proficient English to follow project guidelines and provide clear feedback.
- 53+ years of professional experience in Traditional Chinese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related workflows.
- 6Comfort with HK-specific usage, including Cantonese-influenced phrasing, formal written Chinese, local vocabulary, and UI localization norms.
- 7Ability to evaluate HK Cantonese content against rubrics and identify issues such as leakage from Simplified Chinese, terminology mismatches, or unnatural phrasing.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs.
- 9Familiarity with remote work tools like Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs and with trackers and dashboards in project management systems.
- 10Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills for maintaining style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and quality notes.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLMs, prompt evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus.
