What You'll Do9
- 1Spot-check Traditional Chinese Taiwan and Mandarin items, flag quality issues, and provide detailed feedback via DMs.
- 2Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new item guidelines, project changes, and quality expectations.
- 3Answer questions with clear guidance on Taiwan Mandarin wording, Traditional Chinese conventions, punctuation, and localization terminology.
- 4Activate inactive contributors, monitor availability, and flag delays to maintain momentum across the team.
- 5Create and maintain project documentation including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, and onboarding materials.
- 6Lead onboarding calls to explain rubrics, workflows, and Taiwan-specific style requirements.
- 7Ensure consistent application of Traditional Chinese Taiwan / Mandarin guidelines across the team.
- 8Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA process improvements.
- 9Collaborate with remote trainers, annotators, editors, and QAs to sustain quality across projects.
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Mandarin, Linguistics, Translation, or related field.
- 2Native or near-native proficiency in Traditional Chinese for Taiwan, with strong reading and writing skills.
- 3Strong understanding of Taiwan Mandarin usage, terminology, tone, register, punctuation, formatting conventions, and cultural context.
- 4Strong grasp of English to follow project guidelines and communicate with teams.
- 53+ years of professional experience in Traditional Chinese writing, Mandarin editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation, or related workflows.
- 6Comfortable handling Taiwan-specific usage and local vocabulary with product/UI localization norms.
- 7Ability to evaluate Traditional Chinese Taiwan / Mandarin content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as Simplified Chinese leakage, mainland Mandarin phrasing, mistranslation, or inconsistent terminology.
- 8Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is strongly preferred.
- 9Comfortable with tools like Discord, Google Sheets, and Google Docs on fast-moving remote environments.
- 10Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, and quality documentation.
- 11Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is a strong plus.
