contract

Overview

Remote contract role leading architecture and design QA for AI training projects spanning architecture, interior design, urban design, and the built environment. Review AI-generated design content and assess it against project rubrics, delivering precise written feedback to keep outputs practical and well explained. Collaborate with remote trainers and QA specialists, maintaining documentation, style guides, and calibration tasks as projects evolve. Apply rigorous evaluation of spatial reasoning, scale, proportion, accessibility, and sustainability to identify issues and guide improvements. Selection involves an AI interview, a domain-specific task, and a recruiter discussion.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Spot-check architecture and design items to identify quality issues and provide ongoing feedback via direct messages while escalating critical problems.
  • 2Evaluate AI-generated design explanations, layouts, and material recommendations for accuracy and practicality against project rubrics.
  • 3Update trainers and QAs on Discord about new item guidelines, project changes, workflow shifts, and architecture/design-specific review standards.
  • 4Answer trainer and QA questions clearly and promptly on spatial logic, design terminology, accessibility, sustainability, construction feasibility, materials, and rubric interpretation.
  • 5Reach out to inactive contributors to re-engage activity, track follow-ups, and flag availability issues as needed.
  • 6Create and maintain project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
  • 7Schedule and run onboarding sessions with trainers and QAs to explain expectations, rubrics, and quality standards for architecture/design reviews.
  • 8Ensure consistent application of architecture/design review guidelines as projects evolve across teams.
  • 9Flag unsafe or poorly contextualized design recommendations and highlight potential risks.
  • 10Identify recurring quality gaps and propose scalable QA process improvements for AI training projects.

Requirements10

  • 1Bachelor’s, Master’s, or professional degree in architecture, interior design, urban design, landscape architecture, environmental design, industrial design, planning, or related field.
  • 2Strong English language skills to follow guidelines, communicate with teams, and provide clear written feedback.
  • 33+ years of experience in architecture, design, interiors, urban design, design research, construction documentation, teaching, design review, visualization, or related built-environment workflows.
  • 4Solid understanding of design principles, spatial organization, circulation, scale and proportion, materiality, accessibility, sustainability, building systems, construction logic, and design communication.
  • 5Ability to evaluate content against rubrics and identify issues such as impractical layouts, weak design rationale, or accessibility gaps.
  • 6Familiarity with tools or methods such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, BIM, construction drawings, precedent analysis, site analysis, rendering, or design presentations is preferred.
  • 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of designers, reviewers, annotators, educators, visual QA specialists, or domain experts.
  • 8Comfort working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
  • 9Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding materials, calibration tasks, and documentation.
  • 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, design QA, visual review, architectural review, or rubric-based review is a strong plus.

Who Should Apply

Architects, interior designers, urban designers, or design researchers with 3+ years in related built-environment workflows are a strong fit. You thrive when translating complex design concepts into actionable feedback and can maintain style guides and rubrics across remote teams. Candidates who struggle with precise written communication or remote collaboration on Discord and Google Docs may find this role challenging. Those without prior exposure to AI training, rubric-based evaluation, or remote QA coordination may score lower on fit.
