Listing checked October 24, 2026 · pay as published by Mercor
Overview
Pearson pairs with an AI lab to build training data for frontier legal models, and this bench of US transactional attorneys supplies the expertise behind it. You join an evergreen pool, so one application covers you for current and upcoming projects as they open. Day to day, the work centers on side-by-side evaluations: you read two AI answers to a transactional task, pick the stronger one, and explain the call against the source documents and governing US law. You also write legal prompts and model answers pulled from your own deal experience, from contract drafting to due diligence summaries. Expect recurring assignments tied to new project launches, with onboarding and calibration sessions to align you with the review standards.

Mercor
VerifiedUS Contract Attorney — In-House Counsel
Pearson maintains an evergreen bench of US contract attorneys for legal AI training work. Projects support frontier models and draw on contract review, compliance, employment, risk, and disputes experience. Attorneys compare AI-generated legal responses, justify which answer holds up under US law, and craft realistic in-house prompts with model answers. Onboarding and calibration sessions keep review standards aligned across the bench. The work is remote with flexible hours, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Mercor
VerifiedUS Contract Attorney — Litigation
Pearson keeps a standing bench of US litigation attorneys who train frontier AI models on legal reasoning work. Apply once and your profile stays in the pool for upcoming projects as they launch, with review running on a rolling basis. Day to day you weigh two AI answers to a litigation task, pick the stronger one, and defend that call using the source documents and current US law. You also write original prompts, fact patterns, and reference answers pulled from your own practice background.

micro1
VerifiedTransactional Attorney for AI Training Project
micro1 seeks Transactional Attorneys to support a confidential project that blends law and AI. You will apply your commercial contracting background to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn and reason from real-world legal input. The work mirrors in-house practice: reviewing agreements, marking up drafts, and applying company policy positions. No prior AI experience is needed. Your contract drafting and technology transactions knowledge is what matters.

micro1
VerifiedTransactional Attorney
This part-time contract role puts you at the center of legal AI development. You will work with contract redlining workflows that train and evaluate advanced AI models. Your expertise in MSAs, NDAs, and ISDAs will directly shape how these systems spot risk and read contract language. The position is fully remote and task-based, with an average handling time of about 3.5 hours per task.

Mercor
VerifiedUS Contract Attorney — Federal Litigation
This project asks US litigators to review pairs of motion briefs from the same case and decide which argument holds up better. You will score each brief against defined quality dimensions, then annotate the PDFs to flag legal, factual, citation, and drafting problems. The work feeds high-quality legal reasoning data used to train frontier models. Expect a one-week review window of roughly 30 to 40 hours, a short onboarding session, and a firm rule that every attorney must finish the full set of reviews.

AfterQuery
VerifiedCorporate & M&A Attorney
AfterQuery assembles expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs rely on to measure how well their models handle real professional work. In this contract role, corporate and M&A attorneys write the deal scenarios those evaluations run on, taking a matter from term sheet through closing and documenting the reasoning behind every judgment call. You then score model output on purchase agreements, diligence summaries, disclosure schedules and board matters, calling out answers that look sharp on the surface but would leave a client exposed. The work stays inside your practice area, runs fully remote and async, and asks for at least 10 hours a week with no ceiling.
