Overview

A remote contractor role focused on shaping AI learning for engineering tasks. You’ll author and evaluate technical problems across domains like Aerodynamics, CAD/Mechanical Design, and Circuit Design to train next‑gen AI systems. Your domain expertise drives model reasoning and problem statements, with feedback that guides improvement. A strong emphasis on practical engineering judgment and clear communication is required to collaborate with a distributed team.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Author and assess advanced technical challenges in your domain such as Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Circuit Design, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2Review AI generated technical answers for accuracy and engineering relevance
  • 3Apply real‑world design, analysis, and failure context to both practical and theoretical problems
  • 4Identify ambiguities in complex, domain specific issues and propose precise clarifications
  • 5Provide structured written and verbal feedback to support AI learning and reasoning enhancements
  • 6Collaborate remotely with a network of technical experts to deliver high‑quality domain input
  • 7Document insights and recommendations to guide model improvement and better problem statements

Requirements7

  • 1At least 5 years of hands-on experience in your domain (mechanical design, aerodynamic analysis, materials selection, or circuit/system development)
  • 2Advanced degree in a relevant engineering field or substantial industry experience (8+ years for some domains, 5+ years for CAD/Mechanical Design)
  • 3Proven track record in technical problem authorship or equivalent roles (e.g., olympiad committees, licensure item writing, academic exams, standards committees, competition leadership)
  • 4Publications, patents, or other recognized industry awards, or demonstrable technical rigor through results or committee service
  • 5Proficiency in professional English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 6Familiarity with standard engineering tools (AutoCAD or CAD suites, CFD/FEA, EDA tools, lab equipment) relevant to your specialty
  • 7Experience working independently and remotely, delivering high‑quality work within project timelines

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional in a core engineering domain who can craft and scrutinize high‑level technical problems. This role suits someone with a strong track record in independent, remote work and a history of technical problem authoring or similar rigorous tasks. It may be a poor fit for those without substantial domain experience or who prefer in‑person team settings. Common fit signals include extensive hands‑on practice in CAD, aerodynamics, or circuits and a history of precise, criterion‑driven documentation; risk signals include limited remote work experience or weaker ability to translate complex technical details into clear guidance for AI systems.

Salary Insight

Pay is task‑based and set per completed work item; the rate range is $60 to $110 per hour. Exact pay depends on the task and your demonstrated capability. No additional numbers are provided here. Pay discussions occur as part of onboarding and task assignment.
