Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, Swedish studies, English literature, communications, journalism, translation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2Native or near-native Swedish proficiency in reading and writing.
- 3Strong English proficiency (minimum C1) for following guidelines and providing feedback in English.
- 43+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
- 5Deep understanding of Swedish grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style with the ability to explain corrections.
- 6Comfort with multiple registers and Swedish business writing norms; consistent terminology for product/UI localization.
- 7Excellent attention to detail to spot subtle meaning shifts, awkward translations, or culturally mismatched phrasing.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality as an hourly remote contractor across time zones.
- 9Prior experience with AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.
