Overview
micro1 is building the human data infrastructure that powers AGI. As a Strategic Project Lead, you'll orchestrate teams of electrical engineering experts who train frontier AI models, focusing on PCB design, power electronics, and embedded systems. You'll serve as the primary liaison for top AI lab clients, ensuring high-quality, scalable data pipelines while blending hands-on technical knowledge with leadership and client management—all remotely.
What You'll Do6
- 1Own projects end-to-end, driving client satisfaction for top-tier AI lab partners by delivering on time and exceeding expectations.
- 2Manage and optimize complex data pipelines specific to electrical and electronics workflows, continuously improving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- 3Lead teams of Human Data Managers and Leads who review work from domain experts in PCB design, power electronics, embedded systems, and related fields.
- 4Act as a trusted technical partner, communicating directly with frontier AI labs on large-scale, high-impact projects and providing strategic guidance.
- 5Collaborate with Human Data Engineers to define, track, and refine KPIs that measure quality and performance in expert-driven workflows.
- 6Deliver executive-level updates and insights on project progress, data performance, and operational impact to stakeholders.
Requirements6
- 1Exceptional stakeholder management and soft skills, particularly when working with senior technical experts and demanding clients.
- 2Willingness to work extended hours and weekends in a fast-paced startup environment where deadlines and impact matter.
- 3Strong hands-on background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with proven experience in PCB design, schematic capture, layout, simulation, component selection, and board validation/testing—especially in converters, battery systems, embedded, or industrial electronics.
- 4Proficiency with tools such as KiCad, SpiceBridge, PCBParts, or similar PCB design and simulation software.
- 5At least 2 years in a leadership or project ownership role managing technical teams, driving operational processes, or optimizing complex workflows.
- 6Demonstrated ability to communicate intricate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences in a client-facing capacity.

Salary Insight
The base salary range for this full-time remote role is $160,000 – $200,000 USD, plus eligibility for equity compensation, performance-based bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
